
Emma Angelini, graduated in Chemistry, Full Professor of Applied Physical Chemistry in the Department of Applied Science and Technology, Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, is Past President of the International Corrosion Council (ICC).
She taught chemistry and materials corrosion and protection in engineering programs, including televised e-learning courses via RAI Nettuno SAT. Her research focuses on corrosion protection of metals, biomaterials for dentistry, alloys for electrocatalysis, and plasma-based surface treatments.
She has authored over 200 publications in these areas. Her work on cultural heritage includes analysis and conservation of archaeological and artistic metal artifacts, with innovative plasma applications and portable diagnostic tools. She is also committed to science outreach, collaborating with national and international museums and cultural institutions to promote scientific knowledge to the public.
